"I went to see Dr. Burger when my son, then aged 2, was suffering from a succession of ear infections. Our regular pediatrician wouldn't suggest anything except repeated antibiotics. Dr. Burger, who was originally trained as a pediatrician, began by examining my son like a "normal" pediatrician, but with more care and detail than our standard pediatrician. Then she suggested an herbal treatment to boost his overall immunity and suppositories with essential oils in case of new ear infections. Suppositories which, I must say, are really effective on my son, and which we've been using ever since he's had an ENT illness, helping to prevent it from getting out of hand. She looked at the problem as a whole, questioning his diet and recommending ways of dealing with it. My son was also having problems waking up at night at the time, and she advised us on this aspect too. She's gentle, clear, very kind to children without infantilizing them too much, and professional. She takes her time and really listens to the parents.
